PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is fast becoming one of the most important industry-recognised, ‘must-have’ qualifications for project managers. Globally recognised and demanded, the PMP demonstrates that project managers have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects. This course covers the Knowledge Areas, Process Groups, Inputs, Tools/Techniques, and Outputs contained in the PMBOK, as well as a broad spectrum of project management concepts expected of project managers in today’s demanding environments.
This training course is delivered by highly experienced project management professionals, with active participation by the delegates being essential to the learning process. Delegates will explore project management issues via, class-room instruction, interactive exercises and group discussions.
This five-day intensive training course results in a certificate for the 35 Professional Development Units (PDUs) required to apply for the PMP examination. All candidates are advised to join PMI and download a copy of ‘A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge: PMBOK Guide, 5th Edition’, or alternatively buy a copy of the PMBOK guide (ISBN 978-1935589679), and read pages 1 through to 63 prior to attending the course. Delegates will also be required to undertake individual assignments in the form of evening homework during the course (candidates should expect around 2 hours’ work per evening).
