| ITIL® V3 and MOF 4.0 Training and Certification FAQ Q: For MOF Foundations certification, is there a requirement that you need to take a course from an accredited Service Provider? I am planning on giving in-house MOF certification training and want to order the exams myself. EXIN has made it sound like I don't have that option any longer. A: The course syllabus states that anyone may order an exam for the MOF foundation certification. It is our understanding that you do not even need to take a course and may self-study and then order the exam directly from an accredited exam organization. Q: For ITIL® Foundations exams, do I need to take a course from an accredited training provider before I order an exam from an accredited exam provider like Thompson-Prometric? A: The ITIL® Foundations syllabus recommends training from an accredited provider, but does not require it to take the Foundations Exam.
